“Sherwood Forest Golf Club proved once again to be a first class championship venue for one of England Golf’s most prestigious tournaments in the calendar. 288 players competed in the English Senior Men’s Open Amateur Championship and it felt as though each and every one of them complimented the condition of the golf course, the service and hospitality within the clubhouse, and the support from the golf club members and volunteers. Sherwood Forest really does have everything required of a championship venue and I was delighted with how well this tournament was delivered. Thank you to everyone at the club who made it a success”.
