Loft
The loft of irons can be altered to provide a lower or higher trajectory. This can greatly assist by providing additional distance or control.
Lie
The lie-angle of irons can be adjusted to prevent pushing shots to the right, due to a lie-angle which is too flat or pulling shots to the left, due to a lie-angle which is too upright.
This is the most important aspect of ensuring correct club-fit. A simple indoor test will establish the correct lie-angle and alterations can be made in just a few minutes.
Length To get the most from your equipment, it is essential to play with clubs are the correct length. A simple indoor fitting will establish the correct length and alterations can be made within 24 hours.
Grip Size
This aspect of club-fit can have a significant effect on ball flight. A grip which is too thick can exaggerate any tendency to slice and can cause a reduction in distance, whereas a grip which is too thin can increase any tendency to hook.
Inappropriate grip thickness can also result in a loss of feel or cause difficulty in obtaining a secure hold of the club. Players with joint stiffness or arthritis can often obtain significant assistance in holding the club by using thicker grips.
